2010 has been the first year in the life of Sillick Photography – its certainly been an interesting one and I’ve learnt a lot – both good and bad about running a business.

Whilst the phone hasn’t exactly been ringing on a daily basis with enquiries, bookings have been slowly increasing during the year. I’ve also been fortunate enough to be able to help out my good friend and inspiration/mentor Stuart Cooper on a number of weddings – all of which have been an amazing experience and I am tremendously fortunate to have the opportunity.

We’ve done both our first commercial job (picked up from our first real internet enquiry) and have attended our first wedding fayre – and from that have received our first wedding booking.

2011 is looking to be a good year – photographically we have Claire and Dominic’s wedding waiting for us in July. Before that though there will be lots of training courses so I can offer only the best to my clients and I’m hoping to increase our presence in the local area with some new marketing and hopefully a new look website – look out Hampshire – you have been warned!!

On a more personal level in March we’re looking forward to the patter of tiny feet as Evie is due to receive a little sister to play with – I can’t wait to meet her… it will be good to be able to take some baby photo’s again!! 🙂

I’d like to take the opportunity to thanks all my friends and clients for their support during 2010 – without you this would never have happened. Best wishes to you all for 2011 – I hope you all manage to realise your dreams.

Personal work has been in a little bit of short supply what with everything else – much to my wife’s annoyance, but here are a couple of my favourites of my princess.

All the best

  1. Great pics, as always, Sean, hope to meet in 2011 sometime (!?) and all the best to the three (four) of you.
