Wow – I cannot believe the end of another year has come around already and that it is time for the 2014 round-up.
Looking back over the last 12 months I can see that I have failed miserably in my resolution to blog more – that doesn’t mean to say the camera’s have been laying dormant at Sillick Photography – its been quite a busy year really (even though we only ended up with one wedding after a cancellation and other commitments cut short the client list).
Here’s a few of my favourite images from the year – hopefully I might even write a blog about a few of them in the coming year!
Starting out right at the beginning of the year I decided to invest in some studio lights so that I could work on lighting techniques and offer some traditional portraits to clients. After that I took a nice trip up to the Lake District to see the lovely people at Aspire for a People Posing course with Kate Hopewell-Smith.
The middle of the year saw me documenting a couple of pool parties for our good friend Dana of Dana’s Aquatic Academy
Brett Florens is one of my favourite wedding photographers and in August I was lucky enough to attend one of his courses in London
These guys were smoking hot – so we had to put a hose on them to cool them down 🙂
Finally we got to go out to some of London’s landmarks for some stunning nighttime photography – armed with just our cameras and a few Ice Lights. Shame it rained 🙁 Nice reflections though 🙂
August also saw me in Winchester to meet CJ and Dan for their pre-wedding photoshoot. Which of course led on to their wedding in Bishops Waltham with the reception at my favourite venue – Hill Place.
My Dad turned 70 in October, and was able to regress to his childhood and play with a big train set for the day at Exbury Gardens.
We added pet photography to our growing list of photographic styles after Dana and her sister Kayley asked for some shots with their grans dog Sammy for a Christmas present.
And finally any New years post would not be complete without some random images from the year of various wildlife 🙂
I hope that you have all had a great 2014 – many thanks for your support over the last 12 months.
Best wishes for 2015.
Sean
