A while back I attended a 4 day seminar at the Annabel Williams Contemporary Photographic Training Studio (now Aspire Photography Training) in the Lake District entitled the A-Z of Photography and Business.
Days one and four were all about marketing, business acumen and sales and were led by the formidable force of industry legends Catherine Conner and Jane Breakell. This really was business school 101 and soon had everyone talking in terms such business radars and unique selling points.
Day two was spent with Annabel Williams learning how to photograph children and families. This was a really insightful day – especially in the field of child psychology and what to do when your client is absolutely terrified of all the big people (with even bigger cameras) that are hanging around in the background!
Annabel’s enthusiasm is totally infectious – couple this with her easy going (and surprisingly un-technical) approach and its easy to see why her unique contemporary style has led to her becoming a world renowned photographer
Day three was led by Stewart Randall and was all about Digital workflow – it started out with a fantastic teen shoot, and then the rest of the day was spent examining how Stewarts workflow can reduce the amount of time spent in from of a computer at the end of the day while still making images that really stand out.
As with all the other times I have been up to CPT the whole team made me feel really welcome – and certainly inspired! Thanks guys! Hope you enjoy the shots – just a “few” of the several hundred I came away with!!
